Arrowhead
1. Background
There are several arrowhead type in Revit that can be used. The arrowhead it self can be assign to annotation element such as dimension, leader tag, leader text, etc. However we can’t add a custom arrowhead type outside from what Revit provided, so the Client need to adjust theirs standard in Revit if they had a custom arrowhead from CAD.
2. Setup
There are 14 different arrowhead from Revit that can be adjusted to match or nearly match the Client standard. We can have different type of arrowhead for different type of use or using same arrowhead for different type of use. But, for easier management in the future we suggested to differentiate the arrowhead type for different use. So when in the future the Client want to developed the standard, they just need to change the properties of certain arrowhead type.
Bellow are the recommended arrowhead type list.
3. Naming Convention
Naming convention for Arrowhead are quite simple. We just need to add prefix to identified the standard arrowhead we use.
Dedicated Arrowhead | _ARW – <arrowhead use> | Exp. _ARW – Dimension
